When I met Michael and his business partners, they had a successful group of seven Crust outlets in Melbourne and Sydney and weren’t sure whether franchising was the right growth model for them. I was in discussions with Michael and his partners for two years about the suitability of franchising before they decided to undergo a feasibility study.

The positive feasibility study led to the development of Crust’s franchising model including its recruitment strategies. We worked closely with the group for two years, during which they began to achieve strong growth, first in Sydney and Melbourne, and eventually nationwide. Despite operating in a saturated market, Crust became a household name and grew from its foundation of seven stores to 100 stores within ten years, before being sold to Retail Food Group.

Sergio’s experience and dedication were instrumental in developing the systems and strategy that helped us turn our small group of outlets into one of Australia’s most well-known, homegrown franchises, now part of a publicly listed company. I would highly recommend Sergio to anyone serious about wanting to grow their business.
